However there is forum for commenting and only two non-invitees have ever emailed me and told me they had found my writing in the 26 months I have been on the net - until about a week before Christmas when I got a very interesting email.
It was from an Isreali webmaster who claimed that he had read my writing and wanted me to come and look at a site he thought I would like:
[key words omitted so I do not get mistaken for condoning these people]
Hi. My name is E** G**. Perhaps we have met online, but more probably you don't know me from Adam. I monitor blogs for S**B**, and came across your post.
I'd like to welcome you to look at O** S**'s blog. O** - an anonymous Israeli politician - writes extremely controversial articles about Israel, the Middle East politics, and terrorism.
S** is equally critical of Jewish and Muslim myths, and advocates political rationalism instead of moralizing.
Google banned our site from the AdWords, Yahoo blocked most pages, and Amazon deleted all reviews of O**'s book, S** B**: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict.
Nevertheless, 170,000 people from 78 countries read the book.
Various Internet providers ban us periodically, but you can look up the site on search engines. The mirror www.***.org/blog currently works.
Please help us spread O**'s message, and mention the blog in one of your posts, or link to us from insanelysociable.blogspot.com. I would greatly appreciate your comments.
Suitably intrigued I followed the link and found the site. I was browsing quickly when my eye reached the affiliate blogs and I realised that there were something askew with this invitation, and I suspect that my writing had probably been found more for the words used than the context they were placed in, because this E** G** had not found a fellow subversive in me!
I may have made it onto a Isreali list of subversive writers, but the invitation is from an Isreali who appears to be linked to Neo-Con Rebublicans, UN-Haters and - woah nelly - Southern American White Supremists. I don't think this bloke ACTUALLY read my writing - probably searched some key phrases, got my blog and failed to realise I was using them in dark sarcasm. I am neither Neo-Con, Republican, White Supremist NOR a hater of the UN.
Interesting times! I am still hanging out for someone COOL to stumble across my writing - like Richard Dawkins or Phillip Adams *sigh* instead I get Isreali firebrands.
